Heat Sheets For Lee Krough Invitational

Gustavus Adolphus College will host the sixth annual Lee Krough Invitational Track and Field Meet Friday, April 14. Heat sheets are now available for the meet. Competition will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the men's javelin and shot put and the women's hammer throw. Running events will begin at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Tanner Miest Named MIAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College junior hurdler Tanner Miest has been named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 9, 2006. At last weekend's Wartburg Select Meet in Waverly, Iowa, Miest posted the best qualifying time in the 110-meter hurdle preliminaries with a mark of 14.98 seconds and bettered that with a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 14.85 seconds to win in the final.

Men’s Track and Field Fifth at Wartburg Select; Miest and Klaers Reach Provisional Marks

The Gustavus men's track and field team accumulated 66.5 points Saturday to post a fifth-place finish at the Wartburg Select Meet in Waverly, Iowa. The host Knights took the team title with 193 points, followed by Monmouth (150), Central (105), UW-Platteville (80.5) and Gustavus. Tanner Miest (110-meter hurdles) and Andy Klaers (discus) posted NCAA provisional qualifying marks with winning efforts.

Men’s Indoor Track and Field Fifth at MIAC Championships

Gustavus junior Jered Hokenson claimed titles in the high jump and pentathlon and fellow juniors Tanner Miest and Andy Klaers posted NCAA provisional qualifying marks in the 55-meter hurdles and weight throw, respectively, as the Gustavus men's indoor track and field team recorded a fifth-place at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday evening at Carleton.

Women’s Indoor Track and Field Ties for Second at MIAC Championships

The Gustavus women's indoor track and field team walked away with a title in only the distance medley relay at the 2006 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship, but finished in a tie for second place behind runner-up finishes in the 5000-meter run, the 800-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay, as well as a 2-3-4 finish in the pole vault. St. Thomas won its seventh straight title with 125.7 points, while the Gusties and Concordia each finished with 97 points.
