Women’s Basketball Holds Off St. Kate’s 72-68

The Gustavus women's basketball team survived early foul trouble by post players Erin Boese and Bri Monahan and held off a late rally by St. Catherine to win 72-68 Monday night in St. Peter. Boese and Monahan scored 15 and 14 points, respectively, to lead the Gusties who moved to 4-2 overall, 2-1 in the MIAC with the win. The Wildcats, led by Erin Petrich's 16 points, fell to 2-3 overall, 1-2 in the league. Gustavus will host St. Thomas on Wednesday evening.

Women’s Hockey Turns Back St. Kate’s 10-0

The Gustavus women's hockey team posted a 10-0 win over the College of St. Catherine Saturday afternoon behind three goals by Mari Gunderson. The Gusties improved to 4-1-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the MIAC. Gustavus is now idle until December 2-3 when the Gusties travel to Moorhead for a weekend doubleheader with Concordia.

Men’s Swimming and Diving Defeats Saint Mary’s; Wins at St. Kate’s

The Gustavus men's swimming and diving team wrapped up a successful weekend Saturday with a 135-22 dual win at Saint Mary's and a first place finish in a triangular at St. Kate's. Between the two events, four Gusties posted three wins—Scott Hagemeyer and Peter Stauduhar at Saint Mary's and Brian Amundson and Ben Hanson at St. Kate's. Gustavus returns to the pool with the University of Minnesota Invite November 18-19.

Women’s Swimming and Diving Downs Saint Mary’s, 146-71; Finishes Second at St. Kate’s

The Gustavus women's swimming and diving team wrapped up a successful weekend Saturday with a 146-71 dual win at Saint Mary's and a second place finish in a quadrangular at St. Kate's. Gustavus returns to the pool at the University of Minnesota Invite November 18-19. The Gusties will also host Concordia-Moorhead in a dual November 19.

Women’s Soccer Draws With St. Kate’s 1-1

The Gustavus women's soccer team received a goal from Christy Tupy in the final ten minutes of regulation and held on for a 1-1 tie in double overtime Saturday against the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul. The Gusties move to 4-9-1 with the draw.

Volleyball Sweeps St. Kate’s 3-0

The Gustavus volleyball team picked up their third Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory of the season with a 3-0 victory over the College of St. Catherine Saturday in St. Peter. Sophomore Andrea Kron (Cold Spring, Minn.) led the Gusties with 15 kills, while first-year Bridget Burtzel added 30 assists. Kayla Reed registered 11 kills and 12 digs for the Wildcats, now 2-9 and 0-3 in the MIAC. Gustavus improved to 9-5 overall and 3-1 in the MIAC with the win.
