Goor, Sengvongxay Earn MIAC Men’s Hockey Recognition

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its men’s hockey postseason awards Monday and two Gustavus student-athletes received recognition. Robbie Goor (So., Anoka, Minn.) earned All-Conference honorable mention and Toby Sengvongxay (Fy., Luverne, Minn.) was named to the All-Rookie Team.

The Gustavus men’s hockey team Friday night lost to No. 15 St. Scholastica 3-1 in non-conference action, dropping to 4-6-1 overall. Despite not getting the win on the ice, Gustavus earned a victory for its charitable efforts by hosting the annual Teddy Bear Toss Game, which collected hundreds of new stuffed animals with donations going to the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital.
