Lepel has had an immediate impact on the Gustavus baseball team as a transfer student, cementing his role as the starting catcher and cleanup hitter in the lineup. This past week in six games, Lepel hit .474, going 9-for-19 with seven runs, 11 RBI, five walks, a double, and a home run. His slugging percentage was .684, helped in part by a grand slam against Carleton, which tied the game in the seventh inning and eventually led to an extra inning victory.
