Cal Carlson (Sr., St. Peter, Minn.) highlighted the awards as she was honored with the Chris Evert Award, which annually recognizes a senior tennis student-athlete with outstanding sportsmanship and exemplary athletic, academic and humanitarian accomplishments.

The Gustavus women’s tennis team hosted the 2016 USTA/ITA Midwest Regional Tournament this weekend, which featured 30 of the top teams in the region. The Gusties had a good showing in both the singles and doubles draws with four individuals making the final 16 in singles play and one doubles team in the final four.
