Sowden averaged 20.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game as Gustavus won three games last week and clinched a MIAC playoff berth. Sowden shares this week’s award with St. Thomas guard Brian Schnettler.

Gustavus Adolphus College junior Hailey Harren (Cold Spring, Minn.) has been named Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). Harren won the Saint John’s Invitational cross country meet in a fast 6K time of 22:07. Harren’s time was over one minute better than the second-place finisher.
