Men’s Swimming and Diving Team Set To Participate in NCAA Championships

The Gustavus men's swimming and diving team will send nine competitors to the NCAA Championships which will take place this Thursday through Saturday at the University of Houston. Matt Stewart, Scott Hagemeyer, and Skylar Davis qualified automatically, while the 200 and 400 free relays also automatically qualified for the national meet.

The Gustavus men's swimming and diving team came up five points short of posting its sixth consecutive MIAC title as St. Olaf claimed top honors in the closest finish in the 77-year history of the MIAC Swimming Championships. The Gusties claimed three individual event titles on the final day including Skylar Davis (1650 free), Scott Hagemeyer and Brian Amundson (tie - 100 freestyle), and Matt Stewart (200 butterfly).

Women’s Swimming and Diving Remains in First, Men Are In Second After Second Day of MIAC Championships

The Gustavus women's swimming team turned in another strong performance and remained in first place after the second day of the MIAC Championships. The Gustie men are in second place just 44 points behind St. Olaf. The championships, which are taking place at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center, will conclude with prelims and finals on Saturday.

Skylar Davis Shines as Men’s Swimming Team Finishes Second at Carthage Invitational

First year standout Skylar Davis (Palatine, Ill.) finished first in the 1,650 freestyle and posted three NCAA B Provisional Qualifying marks to help the Gustavus men's swimming team finish second at the eight-team Carthage Invitational in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Gustavus scored 778 points, while St. Cloud State finished first with 856 points.

Men’s and Women’s Swimming Teams Claim Dual Meet Wins Over St. Thomas

The Gustavus men's and women's swimming teams both won dual meets against St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon at the Gustavus natatorium. The men's team defeated the Tommies 158-118, while the women's team claimed a 164-132 victory.
