Men’s Golf Climbs To Third Place In National Poll

The Golf Coaches Association of America released its third Golf World/Nike Golf Division III Coaches' poll of the spring season and the Gustavus men's golf team has climbed to the #3 position behind top-ranked Methodist and second-ranked Huntington. The Gusties moved up from the #4 spot despite losing a dual meet by three strokes to Division II Flagler College last week.

Men’s Golf Team Moves Up To Eighth Place in National Poll

The Golf Coaches Association of America released its final Division III poll of the fall season and the Gustavus men's golf team moved into the #8 position behind top ranked Methodist University. The Gusties jumped from the #18 position to the #8 position after winning the MIAC Championship at Bunker Hills Golf Course in early October.

Men’s Golf Rallies On Final Day To Win MIAC Championship, Sandhu Wins Individual Title

The Gustavus men's golf team trailed defending champion Saint John's by five strokes heading into the final round of the MIAC Championships, however the Gusties recorded their finest round of the fall season (288) and finished eight shots ahead of the runner-up Johnnies to claim the 2007 MIAC Team Championship. Gustavus freshman Ajeetesh Sandhu fired a 72 on the final day and finished first individually with a 36-hole total of 74-71-72--217 (+1).

Men’s Golf in First Place After First Day of MIAC Championships

The Gustavus men's golf team posted a team of score of 291 and holds a one-shot lead over defending champion Saint John's after the first day of the MIAC Championships which are being played at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minn. Gustavus was led by Jordan Hawkinson who posted a score of 70 (-2). The tournament will continue at Bunker Hills with the second round on Sunday morning.

Men’s Golf Slips to Second Place at MIAC Championships After Two Rounds

The Gustavus men's golf team shot a second round team score of 301 for a two day total of 291-301-592, which is five shots behind leader Saint John's at 292-295--587. The Gusties are being led individually by Ajeetesh Sandhu who is currently in a tie for second place at 74-71--145. The 54-hole tournament will conclude with the final round on Monday morning at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minnesota.

Men’s Golf Finishes Second at Twin Cities Classic

The Gustavus men's golf team finished second out of 17 teams at its own Twin Cities Golf Classic. The final round was played at Minnesota Valley Country Club in Bloomington, Minnesota. Saint John's won the tournament with a total of 294-291-295--880, while Gustavus finished at 289-290-308--887. Individually, Jordan Hawkinson led Gustavus finishing in a tie for second with a total of 72-72-76--220.

Men’s Golf Team Leads Twin Cities Classic Through Two Rounds

The Gustavus men's golf team is in first place at its own Twin Cities Classic after two rounds. The 54-hole event is being played at three courses including the Elk River Country Club on Saturday, the Links at Northfork on Sunday, and the Minnesota Valley Country Club on Monday. The Gusties (289-290--579) currently hold a six-shot lead over MIAC rival Saint John's (294-291--585) with 18 holes left to play.

Golfer Kyle Rohlfs Named Co-MIAC Men’s Player of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College senior Kyle Rohlfs (Fergus Falls, Minn.) fired rounds of 72-72 for a two over-par total of 144 to tie for first place at the UW-Eau Claire Invitational. The win at Eau Claire is Rohlfs' first collegiate victory. The Gustavus team finished second in the meet one stroke behind host UW-Eau Claire.

Men’s Golf Finishes Second at UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational

The Gustavus men's golf team just missed claiming its second tournament title of the fall finishing one shot behind host UW-Eau Claire at the Blugold Invitational this past weekend. The Gusties posted a team score of 298-298--596, while UW-Eau Claire finished at 294-301--595. Gustavus senior Kyle Rohlfs playing as an individual tied for medalist honors with a 36-hole total of 72-72--144.

Men’s Golf Finishes Third at Saint John’s Invitational, Mark Stuckey Finishes Fifth Individually

The Gustavus men's golf team came up just short in their attempt to win their second consecutive tournament finishing two shots behind host Saint John's at the Saint John's Invitational. The Gusties posted a 36-hole total of 314-305--619, while the Johnnies finished first at 315-302--617 and UW-Eau Claire finished second at 309-309--618. Mark Stuckey was the top individual finisher for Gustavus. He posted a 36-hole score of 76-76--152.
