The Gustavus men's basketball team suffered a disappointing 67-49 loss to Carleton in Northfield on Saturday afternoon completing a rough two week stretch where the Gusties have played five of their last six games on the road.

The Gustavus men's basketball team dropped its second straight conference contest with a 86-74 loss to Hamline on Wednesday night in St. Paul. Dan Schmidtknecht scored 20 points to lead the Gusties. Gustavus falls to 12-8 overall and 10-5 in conference play.

Men’s Basketball Drops Nailbiter To Macalester 68-67

The Gustavus men's basketball team saw its hopes of claiming the 2010-11 MIAC regular season title take a hit with a hard-fought 68-67 loss to Macalester on Monday night in St. Peter. James Hill led Gustavus in scoring with 17 points.

James Hill led all scorers with 23 points. 

Hill, Wirtjes Shine As Men’s Basketball Defeats Concordia 82-71

The Gustavus men's basketball team opened up a double-digit lead midway through the first half and never looked back on its way to a convincing 82-71 win at Concordia on Saturday afternoon. Phil Wirtjes and James Hill were the difference for the Gusties as Hill tallied a game-high 23 points, while Wirtjes contributed 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field.

Men’s Basketball Sponsoring Food Shelf Night On January 31 Against Macalester

The Gustavus men's basketball game on Monday, January 31 against Macalester College at 7:30 pm will serve as a benefit for the St. Peter Food Shelf. The Gustavus Athletics Department will offer free admission to anyone bringing a non-perishable food item to the game. All items donated at the game will be donated to the St. Peter Food Shelf.

The Gustavus men's basketball team saw its 5-game winning streak snapped with an 80-64 loss to St. Olaf in Northfield on Wednesday night. Seth Anderson led Gustavus in scoring with 14 points.

The Gustavus men's basketball team extended its winning streak to five games with a hard-fought 67-59 win over Saint Mary's in Winona on Saturday afternoon. Phil Wirtjes and Dan Schmidtknecht each scored 13 points to lead the Gusties who improved to 11-5 overall and 9-2 in the MIAC.

The Gustavus men's basketball team improved to 9-5 overall and 7-2 in the MIAC with a solid 66-58 win over Augsburg on Monday night in St. Peter. Paul Blacklock and Tyler Grey led the Gusties in scoring with 14 points each.

The Gustavus men's basketball team locked up in a physical, defensive battle with Carleton at Gus Young Court in St. Peter on Saturday afternoon and mustered just enough offense to slip past the Knights by the score of 56-51.
