Swimming & Diving Receives CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors
The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of American (CSCAA) has recognized both the Gustavus men's and women's swimming & diving teams as Scholar All-Americans. The awards are in recognition of teams and athletes that achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2017 Spring Semester. The Gustie men achieved a 3.24 team GPA during the spring semester, while the women posted a 3.33 GPA and saw four swimmers listed on the Scholar All-America team.

Five Gustavus women’s swimmers represented the College at the NCAA Championships this week –seniors Leah Anderson (Apple Valley, Minn.) and Tarin Anding (Sartell, Minn.), junior Nicole Lohman (North Mankato, Minn.), sophomore Kate Reilly (Hastings, Minn.), and first-year Maggie Webster (Apple Valley, Minn.). Competition lasted Wednesday through Saturday and the Gusties fared well on the national stage.

The Gustavus women’s swimming and diving team remains in second place after day two of the MIAC Championships, but the gap between first place St. Thomas has widened to 90.5 points. The Gusties have 479 points, while the Tommies have moved out in front with 569.5 points.
