Jess Vadnais Named A Finalist for WBCA/State Farm All-America Women’s Basketball Team
The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), has announced the finalists for the 2008 WBCA/State Farm All-America Basketball Team for Division III of the NCAA. The 40 finalists, which includes Gustavus standout Jess Vadnais, are now in the running for selection to the 10-member Kodak/WBCA All-America Team. The teams are selected by WBCA member coaches in each of the eight WBCA geographical regions.
Trevor Wittwer, Jess Vadnais Named Finalists for Jostens Division III Men’s and Women’s Basketball Player of the Year Award
Gustavus men's basketball player Trevor Wittwer and women's basketball player Jess Vadnais have both been named finalists for the Josten's Division III Player of the Year Award. The announcement was made by the Salem, Virginia Rotary Club which presents the prestigious awards each year. Ten finalists are selected for both the men and the women and the winner is announced at the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Final Four in Salem, Virginia on Thursday, March 20.
Jess Vadnais Named To WBCA All-America Team, Monahan Receives Honorable Mention Recognition
The Women's Basketball Coaches Association and Kodak released its 2006-07 Division III All-America Team on Friday afternoon and Gustavus junior guard Jess Vadnais was named to the 10-player All-America team, while Bri Monahan received honorable mention honors for the second consecutive year.

Gustavus senior Bri Monahan and junior Jess Vadnais have been named Co-MIAC Players of Week in women's basketball. The duo combined to help the Gusties claim wins over Augsburg, Bethel, and St. Ben's last week. The Gusties have now won eight straight games and are a in first place tie with St. Ben's with a record of 13-2.
Jess Vadnais Named MIAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Gustavus junior guard Jess Vadnais averaged 17.3 points per game to help the Gusties claim important MIAC victories against St. Olaf (80-56), Carleton (68-48), and Macalester (58-42) last week. Gustavus is currently in second place in the MIAC with a record of 13-2 overall and 10-2 in league play.
Vadnais Scores 1,000th Point as Women’s Basketball Team Defeats Augsburg 72-65
The Gustavus women's basketball team improved to 14-2 on the season and 11-2 in the MIAC by defeating Augsburg 72-65 in Minneapolis on Monday night. It was a big night for junior guard Jess Vadnais as she scored 20 points, including her 1,000th career point with 14:42 left in the second half. Vadnais becomes the eighth player in the history of the women's basketball program to reach the 1,000 point plateau.

The Gustavus women's basketball team improved to 12-2 overall and 9-2 in the MIAC with an impressive 68-48 victory over Carleton on Wednesday night in St. Peter. Jess Vadnais led the Gusties with 19 points, while Bri Monahan recorded her first double-double of the season by scoring 15 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

The Gustavus women's basketball team improved to 11-2 overall and 8-2 in the MIAC with an impressive 80-56 victory at St. Olaf on Monday night. Jess Vadnais led the Gusties with 22 points, while Bri Monahan contributed 19 points and 8 rebounds.

Gustavus women's basketball player Jess Vadnais has been named to the d3hoops.com National Team of the Week for her performances at the Colorado College Invitational last weekend where she helped the Gusties win the tournament title. Vadnais was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
