Track & Field Set To Compete At MIAC Indoor Championships This Weekend

The Gustavus track & field teams are set to compete at the MIAC Indoor Championships this weekend, hosted by Carleton College in Northfield, Minn. The men’s heptathlon and women’s pentathlon are Thursday and Friday, while the rest of the events are Friday and Saturday. Last season, the Gustie men took ninth place with 36 points, while the women also took ninth with 29.5 points.

Men’s Track & Field Takes Third At Kilt Classic

The Gustavus men’s track & field team took third out of five teams at the Macalester Kilt Classic on Friday night. The Gusties tallied 96 points, while Hamline took first with 159 points and Bethel took second with 101.

Men’s And Women’s Track & Field Set To Compete At Macalester Kilt Classic Friday

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams have one final tune-up before next week’s MIAC Indoor Championships as they travel to St. Paul Friday to compete at Macalester’s Kilt Classic. Participating teams include Augsburg, Bethel, Gustavus, Hamline, Macalester and St. Catherine.

Men’s Track & Field Has Strong Showing At CSB-SJU Invite

The Gustavus men’s track and field team competed at the CSB-SJU Invitational Saturday at the Donald McNeely Spectrum. A pair of first place finishes highlighted the day for the Gusties. The 4x200-meter relay team of Brandon Govan (Fy., San Antonio, Texas), Josh Curtis (Fy., Houston, Texas), Dan Trentacoste (So., Orland Park, Ill.) and Jack Blaney (Fy., Lake Elmo, Minn.) crossed the line first in 1:34.08. Ed Remine (Jr., Mantorville, Minn.) also took home a gold in the 400-meter with a time of 51.61.

Men’s Track & Field Takes Third At Carleton’s Meet Of The Hearts

The Gustavus men’s track and field team took third place out of seven teams at Carleton’s Meet of the Hearts on Saturday. “The men had a very strong showing again,” Head Coach Dale Bahr said. “We are in mid-season form right now and seeing where everybody is at within the conference. So we’re looking to continue to push these guys through this part of the season. We ran a lot of people in a bunch of different events to see where they fall.”

Track & Field Teams To Compete At Ted Nelson Classic Saturday

The Gustavus track and field teams are set to participate in the Ted Nelson Classic, hosted by the Minnesota State University, Mankato, on Saturday at the Myers Fieldhouse. Participating teams include Augustana, Carleton, Concordia, Gustavus, Iowa Central, Mary, Minnesota State, Minot State, Sioux Falls, South Dakota State, Southwest State, St. Cloud State, St. Olaf and UW-La Crosse. Field events begin at 11 a.m. and track events begin at 11:30 a.m.

Track & Field: Swanson, ReMine And Bahr Join KNUJ For Gustie Spotlight

Gustavus track and field athletes Sarah Swanson (Sr., Fairbanks, Alaska) and Ed ReMine (Jr., Mantorville, Minn.), and Head Coach Dale Bahr joined the voice of the Golden Gusties Tom Wheeler on Saturday morning for the Gustie Spotlight, which aired on AM 860 KNUJ.

Track & Field Teams Both Take Second At St. Olaf Invite

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams both took second place at the St. Olaf Invite on Friday. The men scored 161 points, while the women tallied 122 points. St. Thomas took first among the women’s teams with a score of 195, while Bethel took first on the men’s side with 186 points.

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams are set to kick off the indoor season Friday at the St. Olaf Triangular. The meet begins at 4 p.m. in the Tostrud Center and participants include St. Olaf and Bethel.
