Men’s Soccer Set to Host MIAC Championship in Mankato Saturday

The Gustavus men's soccer team will host St. Thomas at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato at 1 p.m. Saturday for the MIAC Championship match. Something has to give in Saturday's contest, as the Gusties (16-3) claim one of the top offenses in the country, while the Tommies (13-3-3) have one of the strongest defenses in the country. 

Richards, Dobson Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

 The 2019 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Google Cloud Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Teams are released and Gustavus senior Will Richards (Sr., Hudson, Wis.) and junior Trace Dobson (Jr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) were named to the 12-member District 6 Team, which features student-athletes from institutions in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The Google Cloud Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

Men’s Soccer MIAC Semifinal Moved to Bethany Lutheran at 2:30 Today

Due to snow still being on the Gustie soccer field, the men's soccer match scheduled for 2 p.m. in Saint Peter today has been moved to Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato for a 2:30 p.m. start. The address for Bethany Lutheran is 700 Luther Drive, Mankato, Minn.

MIAC Semifinal Match for Men’s Soccer Postponed to Thursday

Due to snowfall impacting field conditions, the MIAC Men's Soccer Playoff semifinal contest between No. 1 Gustavus and No. 4 Saint John's has been postponed to Thursday, November 7 at 2:00 p.m.

The Gustavus men’s soccer team is set to host Saint John's in a MIAC semifinal match at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Gustie Soccer Field. The No. 1 Gusties earned the MIAC regular season title with an 9-1 record and are 15-3 overall, while the No. 4 Johnnies finished the MIAC 6-4 and hold an 11-7 overall record.

Men’s Soccer Shuts Out Concordia 4-0

The Gustavus men's soccer team traveled to Concordia Saturday and shut out the Cobbers 4-0. The Gusties played with a young unit today, having nine first years see action as well as 13 underclassmen. With the win the Gusties improve to 13-3 overall and 7-1 in the MIAC, while the Cobbers fall to 8-6-2 and 2-6-0 in the conference.
