Holtan Named All-American, Embacher Earns Honorable Mention

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its annual AVCA All-Americans awards on Tuesday and Gustavus is represented by Kate Holtan (Sr., Rochester) who was named third team All-American and Hailey Embacher (Sr., Mankato) was named honorable mention.

Abegglen Earns Fifth MIAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week

Andrew Abegglen (Jr., Mound) made a 31-yard field goal late in Gustavus's 39-7 victory at Concordia to tie the program record of 13 made field goals in a season. He is now tied with Ryan Boutwell - who went 13-of-18 in 1997 - for the school record.

Swim and Dive Teams Win MIAC Duel at St. Olaf

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Gustavus swimming and diving teams were victorious in a conference meet at St. Olaf on Saturday. The Gustie women won 159-125, while the men impressed with marks of 220 to the Oles 77.

Football Wins Decisively at Concordia, Finishes With Best Record Since 1998

The Gustavus football team completed its best season in over two decades on Saturday with a decisive 39-7 victory at snow-covered Concordia. With the win, the Gusties end the season in third place in the MIAC at 6-2 and went 8-2 overall for the first time since 1998.

Men’s Cross Country Takes Eighth at NCAA Regional, Women Ninth

The Gustavus cross country teams culminated their seasons Saturday afternoon at the NCAA North Region Championships as the men took eighth out of 29 teams and the women took ninth out of 32 teams.

Football Battles Concordia in MIAC Third Place Game

The Gustavus football team travels to Concordia for the MIAC third place game at 1 p.m. Saturday in the final game of the season. The Gusties enter the contest 7-2 overall, 5-2 in the MIAC, and 3-1 in the Northwoods Division, while the Cobbers are 4-5 overall, 3-4 in the league, and 3-1 in the Skyline Division.

Women’s Hockey Dominant in Home Opener

No. 6-ranked Gustavus women’s hockey erupted for five third period goals Friday night in the home and MIAC opener, defeating St. Catherine 7-0 to improve to 3-0 overall.
