The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams competed in day one of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships Friday, hosted by Hamline University. After the first day, the Gustie men sit in second place with 35 points, while the women are in 12th with 8.14 points. St. Thomas is in first place for both men and women.

Men’s And Women’s Track & Field Both Take Second At Carleton Relays

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams enjoyed a number of quality performances at the 70th Annual Carleton Relays Saturday. The men’s team took second place out of 10 teams with 135 points, while the women also took second out of eight teams with 185 points. St. Thomas won the men’s team competition with 161.5 points, while Macalester won the women’s side with 200 points.

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams hosted the 17th Annual Lee Krough Invitational Saturday and received a number of first place finishes. The field of teams included 12 Division II and III institutions.

Track & Field Competes At CSB-SJU Invite

The Gustavus men's and women's track & field teams competed at the CSB-SJU Outdoor Invite Saturday at Saint John's University and posted a number of impressive performances. The men were highlighted by first place finishes in the 800-meter, 5000-meter, shot put, and 4x400-meter relay, while the women received top-four finishes in the 1500-meter, 5000-meter, and pole vault.

The men’s team took second place out of seven teams with 168.5 points, while the women took fifth of eight with 72 points.
