Gymnastics Tops UW-Eau Claire 179.150-176.450

The Gustavus Adolphus gymnastics team posted the top individual score of three of four apparatus en route to a 179.150-176.450 dual victory at UW-Eau Claire Friday night. Laura Hansen won the uneven bars (9.125), Emily Pickford and Nicole Gergen tied for the win on the balance beam (9.050), and Christine Askham won the floor exercise (9.525).

Men’s Tennis Records Dual Victories Over Hamline, Concordia, and UW-Eau Claire

The Gustavus Adolphus men's tennis team improved their overall record to 3-3 after posting 9-0 wins over Hamline, Concordia-Moorhead, and UW-Eau Claire Saturday. John Kauss was a double-winner against both Hamline and UW-Eau Claire. The Gusties will host South Dakota State, Minnesota State Mankato, and Duquesne University this Saturday (Feb. 17), while also facing Macalester in a MIAC dual.

Men’s Golf Fourth at UW-Eau Claire Invite

The Gustavus Adolphus men's golf team finished its pre-MIAC Championship schedule Monday with a fourth-place finish at the Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Collegiate hosted by UW-Eau Claire. Gustavus posted a two-day team total of 599. Jordan Hawkinson finished tied for seventh with a score of 73-74--147 to lead the Gusties.

Gymnastics Out of UW-Eau Claire Invite

Because of a change in starting time, the Gustavus Adolphus gymnastics team will be unable to participate in tomorrow's UW-Eau Claire Invitational. Originally scheduled as a 1 p.m. meet, the meet will now start at 11 a.m. due to the availability of judges. Gustavus returns to action on Friday, Jan. 20 when they host Winona State University in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference dual at 7 p.m. in Sponberg Gymnasium.

Men’s Golf Second After Day One of UW-Eau Claire Tourney

The Gustavus men's golf team fired a first-round 294 and finds itself in second place after the first round of the Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Collegiate. The UW-Eau Claire Gold team leads the tournament after a first-round 288, while the regular Eau Claire squad sits in third place, one stroke behind the Gusties. Senior Clayton Johnson (Anoka, Minn.) is the highest placed Gustie individually, in fourth place after an even-par 71. Play concludes with 18 holes on Monday.
