Danielle Burgmeier Breaks School Record In 400-Meter Hurdles

Gustavus senior Danielle Burgmeier broke the Gustavus women’s outdoor track record in the 400-meter hurdles Wednesday night at the Mankato State University Twilight Meet in Mankato, Minn. Burgmeier crossed the finish line first with a time of 1:03.42, breaking the previous record of 1:03.61 set by Carlie Hanson in 2006.

Nordic Skiers Take Sixth At CCSA Championships

Both the Gustavus men’s and women’s nordic skiing teams placed sixth at the Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) Championships held in Houghton, Mich. on Saturday and Sunday. The men’s team collected 127 points, while the women tallied 140.

Nordic Skiers Show Improvement At Battle Creek Super Tour

The Gustavus men’s and women’s nordic skiing teams competed in the Battle Creek Super Tour on Saturday and Sunday in Lake Elmo, Minn. The men came away with a third place finish with 84 combined points, while the women took fourth with 66 points.

Men’s And Women’s Nordic Skiing Place Sixth At Mayor’s Challenge

The Gustavus men’s and women’s nordic skiing teams each placed sixth at the Mayor’s Challenge in Minneapolis Saturday and Sunday. Marian Lund and Anders Bowman led their respective teams for the Gusties. Lund took 41st in both Saturday’s 5K Classic and Sunday’s 10K Freestyle with a time of 19:39.4 and 26:20.0, respectively. Bowman took 38th place in Saturday’s 10K Classic with a time of 24:46.1 and placed 36th in Sunday’s 15K Freestyle in 36:49.8.
