The Gustavus men's hockey team suffered a 3-1 loss at the hands of Saint John's on Saturday afternoon in St. Cloud, Minn. Following a game-tying goal (1-1) by Adam Smyth in the first period, the Johnnies scored two unanswered goals in the second and third periods on their way to the victory.
The Gustavus men's hockey team used a strong second period to skate to a 5-1 victory over Saint John's on Friday night at Don Roberts Ice Rink. Shael Hechter led the team with three points on a goal and two assists, as five different Gustavus players scored a goal in the game. Gustavus improves to 5-2-2 in the MIAC and 11-5-2 overall with the victory, while Saint John’s falls to 2-5-0 in the MIAC and 3-13-0 overall.

St. Olaf goalminder Nick Krauss came up with 37 saves on the way to the victory, handing Gustavus its fourth loss of the year. The Gusties are now 9-4-1 overall, while St. Olaf improves to 5-5-3.
David Martinson scored a power play goal three minutes into overtime to give the Gustavus men's hockey team a 2-1 win over Bethel in Blaine on Friday. Head Coach Brett Petersen earned the 100th win of his career with the victory as the Gusties improved to 6-3-0 overall and 3-2-0 in the MIAC. The Royals dropped to 6-4-1 overall and 2-3-0 in the league standings.
