The Gustavus men's basketball team saw its five game win streak come to a screaching halt with a 73-61 loss to Augsburg in St. Peter on Saturday afternoon. Femi Solaja had a big day for the Auggies with 27 points and 12 rebounds. Trevor Wittwer led Gustavus with 29 points and 9 rebounds. The Gusties fall to 13-4 overall and 9-3 in the MIAC.

The Gustavus women's basketball team looks to extend its four-game winning streak and avenge an early season loss to the Augsburg Auggies on Saturday afternoon at Gus Young Court. The Gusties and the Knights from Carleton are tied for fourth place in the MIAC standings at 8-4. Saturday's game will be broadcast through the Gustavus website beginning at 12:50 p.m.

The Gustavus Adolphus women's basketball team managed to build a 15-point lead with 14:49 remaining in the second half. Unfortunately, that was when the scoring stopped as Augsburg went on to outscore the Gusties 25-7 en route to a 57-54 win in Minneapolis on Saturday afternoon. The final offensive run was a team effort as seven different players scored for the Auggies.

Football Team Suffers Heartbreaking 44-38 Loss at Augsburg, Falls to 4-4 On The Season

The Gustavus football team rallied from a 24-10 halftime deficit to tie the score at 38-38, but Augsburg scored with :19 left in regulation play and the Auggies escaped with a 44-38 victory. Gustavus wide receiver Chad Arlt made 11 catches for 252 yards and broke a 30-year old school record for yards receiving in a game.

Men’s Soccer Blanks Augsburg 2-0

The cold weather did not stop the Gustavus men's soccer team from defeating MIAC rival Augsburg 2-0 Wednesday in St. Peter. Sam Barthell scored his first collegiate goal in the first half to give the Gusties a 1-0 halftime lead. Gustavus would extend its lead in the second half on a goal by Mike Butterworth. Goalkeeper Trevor Brown posted his eighth shutout of the season in the nets as Gustavus improved to 11-2-1 overall and 6-1-0 in the MIAC. Augsburg falls to 7-6-0 overall and 3-3-0 in the MIAC.

Women’s Soccer Edged by Augsburg 1-0 in Minneapolis

The Gustavus women's soccer team saw its two-game win streak come to an end with a 1-0 loss at Augsburg on Tuesday night. The Gusties, who had scored nine goals in their last two games, were shut out by Augsburg goaltender Maggie DeGroot. The Auggies scored the lone goal of the game in the 18th minute. Gustavus is now 2-5-0 in MIAC play and four of those losses are by one goal.

Volleyball Wins 3-2 in MIAC Opener Against Augsburg

The Gustavus volleyball team opened the conference season with 3-2 battle (29-31, 30-13, 30-25, 28-30, 15-12) over Augsburg in Minneapolis Wednesday night. The match proved to be a defensive test as both squads combined for 288 digs and 26.5 blocks. Three Gusties tallied at least 15 kills to provide a balanced offensive attack in the win. Junior Emily Klein (Red Wing, Minn.) accumulated 48 digs in the defensive effort, while junior Bridget Burtzel (Cold Spring, Minn.) tallied 58 assists.

Baseball Sweeps Augsburg 5-2, 19-3

The Gustavus Adolphus College baseball team moved to 10-6 on the season and 4-2 in the MIAC with a doubleheader sweep over Augsburg College Saturday afternoon in St. Peter. Gustavus took game one 5-2 behind a strong pitching performance by Kraig Olson and then pounded out 22 hits in game two to complete the sweep with a 19-3 victory. The Gusties will face Saint John's Sunday afternoon in Collegeville.

Women’s Hockey Shuts Out Augsburg 6-0

The Gustavus Adolphus women's hockey team wrapped up its weekend series with Augsburg with a 6-0 win over the Auggies Saturday night at Augsburg Ice Arena in Minneapolis. Margaret Dorer led the Gusties (19-2-0, 13-1-0 MIAC) with a pair of goals and an assist. Andrea Peterson and Jenny Pusch each added a goal and two assists.
