Women’s Track & Field Competes at MSU Twilight

The Gustavus women’s track & field team competed in the MSU-Mankato Twilight on Saturday. Kourtney Kulseth (So., New Richland, Minn.) highlighted the meet by setting the Gustavus school record in the 1500-meter with a time of 4:44.33. The Gusties had nine more top-five performances.

Women’s Track & Field Successful at Drake Alternative

The Gustavus women’s track & field team hosted the Drake Alternative on Friday for its only home meet of the season. Three Gusties captured first-place finishes – Karley DeKnikker (So., Lake Preston, S.D.) in the 400-meter hurdles, Kourtney Kulseth (So., New Richland, Minn.) in the 3000-meter steeplechase, and Bailey Van Den Heuvel (Sr., Mondovi, Wis.) in the hammer throw.

Track & Field Drake Alternative Moved Up to Friday

The Drake Alternative, hosted by the Gustavus track & field team, has been moved up from Saturday to Friday due to expected rainstorms on Saturday. The meet schedule will be posted after entries are submitted later tonight.

Women’s Track & Field Wins the Carleton Relays

The Gustavus women’s track & field team Saturday won the Carleton Relays with 213.5 points, nearly 90 more than second place Carleton. Seven Gusties reached the top of the podium in seven events.

Track & Field to Take Part in Carleton Relays Saturday

The Gustavus men's and women's track & field teams will compete at the Carleton Relays on Saturday. Running events begin at 9:30 a.m. and field events start at 10:30. 

Women’s Track & Field Place First in Four Events at Mustang Open

The Gustavus women’s track & field team competed at the Mustang Open at Mount Mercy University on Saturday as a full team for the first time this outdoor season. Megan Hill, Sara Moen, Tierney Winter, Haley Anderson, Abigail Schnabel, Katie Keelin, and Annalee Olson-Solo all led the Gusties with first place finishes in their respective events.

Track & Field Cancels Lee Krough Invite, Adds Meet at Mount Mercy

Due to a significant amount of snowfall over the past 24 hours, the Gustavus men's and women's track & field teams have cancelled the Lee Krough Invitational which was scheduled for Saturday at the Gustie Track & Field Complex. 

Track & Field Competes at Hamline

A small contingent of the Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams competed at the Hamline Invitational on Saturday. The highlight of the meet was Taylor Rooney (So., Andover, Minn.) setting the meet record in the 110-meter hurdles.

Track & Field Qualifies Two for NCAA Indoor Championships, Six Earn All-Region Honors

The 2019 NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track and Field participants were announced on Sunday and Gustavus will be represented by Taylor Rooney (So., Andover, Minn.) and Michael Hensch (Sr., North Branch, Minn.). Rooney will compete in the 60-meter hurdles with a seed time of 8.14 (10th), while Hensch will compete in the shot put with a seed distance of 16.39 meters (15th) and the weight throw with a distance of 18.47 meters (16th). 

Women’s Track & Field Takes Fifth at MIAC Indoor Championships

The Gustavus women’s track & field team took fifth place at the MIAC Indoor Championships on Saturday at St. Olaf with 59.5 points. St. Thomas claimed the title with 197 points.
