Track & Field Set To Host 17th Annual Lee Krough Invitational Saturday

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams are set to host the first home meet of the season Saturday – the 17th Annual Lee Krough Invitational. The meet features 21 men’s or women’s teams from 12 Division II and III institutions with field events beginning at 10 a.m. and track events at 12:15 p.m.

Track & Field Competes At CSB-SJU Invite

The Gustavus men's and women's track & field teams competed at the CSB-SJU Outdoor Invite Saturday at Saint John's University and posted a number of impressive performances. The men were highlighted by first place finishes in the 800-meter, 5000-meter, shot put, and 4x400-meter relay, while the women received top-four finishes in the 1500-meter, 5000-meter, and pole vault.

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams competed in their first outdoor meet in Minnesota Saturday, participating in the Hamline Invitational. The meet featured 21 institutions from NCAA Division II and III with some events having nearly 100 competitors.

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams kick off the outdoor season Saturday at the 10th Annual Point Loma Nazarene University Invitational in San Diego, Calif. The meet begins with field events at 9 a.m. (PST) with running events starting at 11:30 a.m. (PST).

Men’s Track & Field Takes Ninth At MIAC Indoor Championships, Women 11th

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams concluded competition at the MIAC Indoor Championships Saturday at the University of St. Thomas. The men took ninth place with 41 points, while the women took 11 place with nine points. St. Thomas won both the men’s and women’s competition with 180 and 195.5 points, respectively.

Men’s Track & Field Sits In Eighth Place After Friday At MIAC Championships, Women 12th

The 2017 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships continued Friday at the University of St. Thomas with a full slate of events. After the first day of team competition, the Gustavus men sit in eighth place with 25 points, while the women are in 12th with four points. St. Thomas leads both the men and women with 103 and 114 points, respectively.

Track & Field Set For MIAC Indoor Championships This Weekend

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams are set to compete at the MIAC Indoor Championships this weekend, hosted by the University of St. Thomas at the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex in St. Paul, Minn. The heptathlon and pentathlon take place Thursday and Friday, while the field and track events are Friday and Saturday. Last season, the Gustie men took eighth place with 48 points, while the women also took eighth with 48.5 points.

Women’s Track & Field Takes Third At Birdman Invite In Final Tuneup Before MIAC Championships

The Gustavus women’s track & field team competed at the Birdman Invite on Friday, hosted by Minnesota State University, Mankato, and took third place with 95 points. Gustavus was the only Division III school in a meet that included Division II MSU-Mankato, Sioux Falls, and Augustana. MSU-Mankato won the meet with 225 points, while Sioux Falls took second with 104 points.

Track & Field Competes At Three Locations This Weekend

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams will be competing at three different locations this weekend. The women will send the majority of the squad to Minnesota State University-Mankato today to compete in the Birdman Open, while a select few will travel to the University of Minnesota tomorrow for the Parents Day Invite. The men are set to compete at the St. Olaf Tostrud Open tomorrow in Northfield, Minn.
