The Gustavus Adolphus women’s soccer team finished Emblem Advantage Cup undefeated with a narrow 1-0 win over the College of St. Scholastica on Sunday afternoon in Duluth, Minn. The match remained scoreless for more than 80 minutes before Gustavus junior captain Meghan McMillan found the back of the net at the 82:12 mark of the match. Meghan Faricy was credited with the assist, her first of the season, on the game-winning goal.

After being shutout in the opening match of the 2010 season on Wednesday afternoon, the Gustavus women’s soccer team turned the tables with a 6-0 win over Northern College at the Emblem Advantage Cup on Saturday afternoon in Duluth, Minn. The Gustavus women’s soccer team will conclude the Emblem Advantage Cup on Sunday with a match against St. Scholastica at 4:30 p.m.

The Gustavus women’s soccer team opened the 2010 season with a 3-0 loss to non-conference opponent UW-Stevens Point on Wednesday afternoon in Stevens Point, Wis. Dittmer, a biochemistry and molecular biology double major, was selected to the First Team and will now be placed on the ballot for the College Division Academic All-America Team.
