The Gustavus women’s soccer team held its ground as the top team in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 1-0 win over the College of Saint Benedict on Wednesday. With the win, the Gusties improve to 8-4-1 overall and 6-1-0 on the MIAC.
The Gustavus women’s soccer team has garnered regional attention after starting its 2015 campaign with a 7-4-1 overall record. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released its regional rankings Tuesday and the Gusties come in at No. 10 in the North Region.
The Gustavus women’s soccer team puts its conference lead on the line at 4 p.m. Wednesday as it travels to the College of Saint Benedict for a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match. The Gusties enter the match with a 7-4-1 overall record and are in first place in the MIAC with a mark of 5-1-0, while the Blazers are 6-4-2 overall and 4-2-0 in the MIAC, which is tied for third place.
The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s soccer team is excited to announce its first annual “Run for Kicks” 5K run/walk. The race is held at 10 a.m., Oct. 17 on the beautiful Gustavus campus. The team hosts Bethel College at 3:30 p.m. that same day.
The Gustavus women’s soccer team claimed a key league win Saturday afternoon as it defeated Augsburg 2-1 in a battle of the top two teams in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Gusties improve to 7-4-1 overall and 5-1-0 in the MIAC with 15 points, which is good for sole possession of first place in the conference standings.
After posting a decisive 6-0 shutout victory over Bethany Lutheran on Wednesday, the Gustavus women’s soccer team returns to Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play at 3:30 p.m. Saturday as it hosts Augsburg College at the Gustie Soccer Field. Gustavus enters Saturday’s match with a 6-4-1 overall record and 4-1-0 mark in the MIAC, while the Auggies are 9-2-0 overall and 4-1-0 in league play. Both teams lead the conference with 12 points.
The Gustavus women’s soccer team got back to its winning ways with a convincing 6-0 shutout over Bethany Lutheran College in non-conference play Wednesday evening, improving to 6-4-1 overall.
