Eleven Gustavus football players have been honored by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Five players were named to the all-conference first team and six athletes were named to the all-conference second team.

Three Gustavus student-athletes have been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America District Five Football Team. Kris Storvick was named to the first team while Adam Stubbendick and Isaac Sieling were named to the second team.

The Gustavus football team ended its season on a disappointing note with a 41-27 loss at home to St. Olaf. The Gusties finished the season with a record of 4-6 overall and 4-4 in the MIAC (tie for fourth place).

The Gustavus football team hosts St. Olaf on Saturday in the final game of the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 pm at Hollingsworth Field.

Gustavus stepped out of conference play to host NAIA power Azusa Pacific (CA) on Saturday in St. Peter. Azusa Pacific scored on its first play from scrimmage and held on for a 23-10 victory.

The Gustavus football team will host Azusa Pacific University in a non-conference matchup on Saturday, November 1 in St. Peter. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 pm at Lloyd Hollingsworth Field.

Senior wide receiver Tim Nesvig has been selected by the College Sporting News website as one of the MIAC’s outstanding student-athletes.

Loren Havemeier, a sophomore defensive back on the Gustavus football team, was named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.

The Gustavus Adolphus football team knocked off Hamline 28-7 on a windy and cold afternoon in St. Peter on Saturday.
