The Gustavus baseball MIAC doubleheader with Saint Mary’s in Winona, Minnesota on April 6 has been postponed due to field conditions at the Cardinal’s Max Mollock Field. The game has be re-scheduled for April 7 at 2:30 pm.

Brittany Moore Finishes 11th in Vault at NCGA Championships
Gustavus sophomore gymnast Brittany Moore finished 11th on the vault at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Championships held in La Crosse, Wisconsin on April 1-2. Moore finished with a two-day total of 18.70 (9.375-9.325).

The Gustavus women’s tennis team received the #1 seed for this weekend’s 11-team Midwest Invitational which will take place in Madison, Wisconsin.

Gustavus Softball Defeats Saint Olaf 8-2, 10-2
The Gustavus softball team swept Saint Olaf College winning 8-2 and 10-2 at Mabel Shirley Field in Northfield Wednesday. Pitcher Joyce Dewitz has won the last six decisions for the Gusties during their current six-game win streak.

Baseball Sweeps Carleton to Open MIAC Play, Spitzack Throws No-Hitter
The Gustavus baseball team opened 2005 MIAC play by sweeping Carleton College 5-0 and 12-5 in Northfield on Saturday. The sweep was highlighted by junior pitcher Josh Spitzack throwing a complete game (7 inn.) no-hitter in the Gusties 5-0 win in game one.

The Gustavus softball team swept Bethany Lutheran College 8-0 and 8-0 in a non-conference doubleheader in St. Peter Monday night to extend their current winning streak to four games.

Women’s Tennis Closes Out Spring Break Trip With 7-2 Win Over Williams
The Gustavus women’s tennis team closed out a very successful spring break trip to Southern California with a 7-2 win over Williams College on Friday. The Gusties posted a mark of 5-1 on their seven-day trip and now have an overall mark of 16-2.

The Gustavus women’s tennis team claimed a convincing 8-1 win over #18 University of Redlands in Redlands, California on Thursday afternoon. The Gusties are now 15-2 on the season.
