    The Gustavus women’s swimming and diving team registered only five wins in 13 events, but picked up runner-up finishes in nine events to edge Macalester 126-113 Friday night in St. Paul. The Gusties, now 4-3 in duals, will face College of Saint Benedict in a dual Saturday afternoon, beginning at 1 p.m. in Lund Natatorium.

    The Gustavus men’s track and field team will return a strong contingent of athletes that recorded top ten finishes at last year’s MIAC Indoor Championships and the team’s goal is to improve on last year’s sixth place finish.     The Gustavus men’s basketball team shot 60.5 percent from the field on its way to a convincing 66-54 win over Concordia in Moorhead on Wednesday night. The Gusties, who improved to 13-4 overall and 8-4 in the MIAC, were led by junior wing Andrew Olson with 21 points.
