Nick Aney (Fy., Rochester, Minn.) played a large part in the Gustavus men’s tennis team winning the consolation title at the ITA Indoor Championships, going a combined 6-0 between singles and doubles in three matches against nationally-ranked teams. For his performance, Aney has been named MIAC Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week.

The No. 8 Gusties on Saturday defeated No. 13 Whitman 7-2 in the consolation semifinals, which was a rematch of last season’s NCAA region championship that Whitman won 5-4 in Saint Peter.
