Baseball vs. Northwestern Moved to Friday in Saint Peter

The Gustavus baseball team’s non-conference game scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday at Northwestern-St. Paul has been moved to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Gustie Baseball Field due to unplayable field conditions at Northwestern. Grandstand seating at the Gustie Baseball Field will be unavailable on Friday so fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs for watching the game. Parking in the grass lot behind field fence and across the road will not be open. Fans are encouraged to park in areas circled in image below. Live stats will not be available for the event, but it will be live streamed.

Four Swimmers Named CSCAA All-America

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released its All-America honors Tuesday and four Gustavus swimmers received recognition.

Softball Sweeps on First Day of Florida Spring Trip

Turns out all the Gusties needed was a little heat. For the first time all season, the Gustavus softball team posted two back-to-back wins on the first day of the Gusties' Florida spring trip. Gustavus defeated St. Lawrence 4-0 to start the day, followed by a 6-3 victory over Manchester University later in the afternoon.

Women’s Hockey Wins Program’s First National Championship in Triple Overtime Thriller

Everything looks better in gold — including the Gustavus women's hockey team. A year after falling to Middlebury in the National Championship game, the Gusties got revenge on the east coast, winning the program's first ever national title in a triple overtime 2-1 thriller over Amherst.

Gusties Split with Bethany Lutheran in Doubleheader

Add another big win for the Gusties to the list. Gustavus picked up its third win of the year — and third with more than 10 runs — in a Friday night doubleheader against Bethany Lutheran at the MSU Mankato Maverick All-Sports Dome. The Gusties fell in the late-night game two, losing 13-4 in ten innings.

Three Gusties Named CCM/AHCA Women’s Division III All-America

Three Gusties earned West All-America honors on the CCM/AHCA Women’s Division III All-America Hockey Team, announced Thursday. 

Sanders Named WBCA All-America Honorable Mention

Another day, another post-season honor for Anna Sanders. The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced their 2023 awards Thursday, naming a Division III Player and Coach of the Year, as well as the 2023 WBCA NCAA Division III Coaches’ All-America team. Sanders earned Honorable Mention All-America status. 50 All-Americans were announced, with 10 on the First-Team and 40 Honorable Mention Selections. Sanders is the program's first All-American since Mikayla Miller earned the same award in 2017.

Gusties Land Two on D3hoops.com All-Region Team

Gustavus women's basketball's Anna Sanders (Sr., Vadnais Heights) and Kylie Baranick (So., Maple Grove) picked up two more post-season honors, landing themselves on the D3hoops.com All-Region list. Sanders and Baranick were both named Region 9 Third-Team, the site announced Tuesday.

Budde Named Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week

Alex Budde helped the Gusties to a victory over then No. 13 Trinity (now No. 11) in the first round of the Stag-Hen Invitational. Budde started the day with a win in the No. 2 doubles spot with partner Gage Gohl. Budde extended his singles winning streak to four, taking down his third nationally-ranked opponent in the last two weeks. Budde won in the No. 6 spot, clinching the win with a come-from-behind set three victory, coming from 2-5 to win 7-5. For his performance, Budde was named MIAC Athlete of the Week.
