Men’s Golf Set to Make 21st Consecutive NCAA Championships Appearance

The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s golf team has been selected to participate in the 2005 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championships. This will be the 21st consecutive appearance in the national meet for the Gusties, which is the third longest active streak in men’s golf behind Skidmore (28) and Methodist (25).

The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s golf team won the Saint John’s University Invitational on Sunday, April 24. The Gusties compiled a 36-hole score of 292-287–579 at the Monticello Country Club. Gustavus’ Jon Hagedorn earned individual medalist honors with a score of 72-67–139.

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s golf team compiled a 36-hole score of 343-334–677 to place fourth out of 13 teams at the Minnesota Women’s Collegiate Golf Association State Championship. Kelli Groff earned all-state honors and head coach Scott Moe was named coach of the year.
