Gustavus Places 21st In 2010-11 NACDA Directors’ Cup Standings

The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and Learfield Sports have announced the final totals for the 2010-11 Directors’ Cup and Gustavus Adolphus College finished 21st out of 435 competing NCAA Division III schools.

Four Women’s Golfers Earn NGCA All-American Scholar Honors

Former Gustie Hockey Player Kirstin Peterson Named Assistant Women’s Hockey Coach

Former women’s hockey standout and 2011 Gustavus graduate Kirstin Peterson returns to campus as the assistant women’s hockey coach. Peterson, a mainstay of the Gustavus blue line the past four seasons, recently earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Fitness in May.

Gustavus Adolphus seniors Sara Yungner, Katie Schenfeld, and Sam Frank have earned a spot on the 2011 CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-America Team. Yungner earned first team distinction, Schenfeld takes home second team honors, and Frank was named to the third team.

Gustavus Adolphus College Women’s Athletics is set to host its annual Golf Tournament on Monday, June 13th, 2011 at the Le Sueur Country Club in Le Sueur, Minn. The tournament is a four-person scramble and will begin with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.
