WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s golf team took fourth place out of 11 teams Sunday at Bethel’s Rumble at the Ridge, played at Oneka Ridge Golf Course. The Gusties fired a 315 (+27), while St. Catherine won the event at 302.

Emily Kolb (Fy., Sioux Falls, S.D.) led the Gusties, finishing in a tie for sixth place with a three-over par 75. Kolb posted a team-high three birdies during the round. Laurel Ward (Sr., Bozeman, Mont.) and Annika Reierson (Jr., Delano) both tied for 12th at 77. Lauren Hubbart (Fy., Hastings) tied for 37th at 86 and Hannah Hubbart (Sr., Hastings) tied for 55th at 91.

“It was a real fine effort with the gals today in some very cod, wet, and windy conditions,” Assistant Coach Randy Stuckey said. “The scores were surprising with the conditions. Emily Kolb had a fantastic round. Her short game was spectacular with three birdie putts and many par saves. We just have one week left and the team was reminded to enjoy the time with our seniors.”

Gustavus closes out the season next weekend at the St. Olaf Invite.
