MANKATO, Minn. – The Gustavus track and field teams competed at MSU-Mankato Friday night and saw a ton of top times The men finished third of 10 teams, while the women placed seventh of nine.
“I am extremely proud of our team today,” said Head Coach Aaron Lund. “I think our athletes and coaches did a great job this week at practice emphasizing the urgency of competing well today and it definitely showed up in the results. We had a majority of our athletes set a lifetime best or season best tonight and as a team we are peaking at the right time.”

“We have incredible momentum right now and I know our athletes are extremely excited for the opportunity to perform their best next weekend at the indoor conference championships,” said Lund. “I also loved the energy and cheering provided by our non-competing athletes today. We have something special starting here in this program and I can’t wait to see what we can do at the championships next weekend.”
The Gusties will compete in the MIAC Championships from Feb. 27-29.
