NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s and women’s track team sent a handful of student-athletes to compete at Carleton at the Meet of Hearts Saturday. The women finished in sixth of 10 teams, while the men finished sixth of eight.
“On the men’s side Steven [Orzolek] was able to win the shot put and place third in the weight throw,” said assistant coach Tom Thorkleson. “The women were great in the shot put led by first-year Annika Poe with a personal best throw of 41-7 to take first. Annalee [Olson-Sola] took third and Dana [Bach] had a lifetime best throw to take fifth.”
