Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive Host Invite Friday and Saturday

The men’s and women’s swim and dive teams will be hosting an Invitational tonight and tomorrow against Carleton and St. Olaf.

SAINT PETER, Minn. – The men’s and women’s swim and dive teams will be hosting an Invitational tonight and tomorrow against Carleton and St. Olaf. Events will start tonight at 6 p.m. and then tomorrow at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The Gusties squared off in a meet on Nov. 10 with St. Olaf and the women won by a score of 158-140, while the men won 210-88.

The men were dominant throughout winning 13 events:

  • 1000 yard freestyle (10:07.76) – Zach Dawson 
  • 200 yard freestyle (1:45.88) – Nolan Larson 
  • 100 yard breaststroke (57.06) – Tanner Sonnek 
  • 200 yard butterfly (2:00.60) – Ryan Sklar 
  • 50 yard freestyle (21.68) – Matt Allison 
  • 100 yard freestyle (48.55) – Allison
  • 1 meter diving (185.80) – Logan Bican 
  • 200 yard backstroke (1:59.48) – Josh Muntifering 
  • 200 yard breaststroke (2:08.36) – Sonnek
  • 500 yard freestyle (4:53.61) – Dawson
  • 100 yard butterfly (52.47) – Larson

The women also won a handful of events with seven total:

The Gusties also faced off in a dual with Carleton on January 11 and came out with a handful of victories with the men winning 207-82 and the women winning 208-91.
