Amanda DiNella Named MIAC Women’s Hockey Athlete Of The Week

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Women’s Hockey Athlete of the Week on Monday and Gustavus goalie Amanda DiNella (Jr., Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.) was recognized with the award. DiNella allowed only one goal in a two-game series at Concordia as Gustavus swept the Cobbers over the weekend.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Women’s Hockey Athlete of the Week on Monday and Gustavus goalie Amanda DiNella (Jr., Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.) was recognized with the award. DiNella allowed only one goal in a two-game series at Concordia as Gustavus swept the Cobbers over the weekend. DiNella logged her sixth shutout of the season in a 3-0 win on Friday and followed that up with 16 saves in Saturday’s 4-1 victory. She leads the MIAC in both wins (14) and minutes (1199:04) this season and is second in goals against (1.40) and save percentage (.933).
