“We didn’t move up as a team like we hoped for today, but it was not for a lack of effort on our team’s part,” Head Coach Scott Moe said. “We battled hard today, got off to a little bit of a shaky start and tried to rally in the middle of the round, but conditions were tough to make any birdies.”

McKenzie Swenson (Sr., Buffalo, Minn.) led the way for the Gusties, tying for 13th place with a total of 82-73-85-240. Her second round 73 was a career-best and tied for the seventh lowest round in program history. Jessica Nelson (Sr., Plymouth, Minn.) posted the third lowest score of the third round and finished tied for 16th at 85-80-77-242. Kristen Cash (So., Roseville, Minn.) placed 20th with an 81-76-86-243 and Ellie Brandt (Jr., Wayzata, Minn.) took 26th at 82-87-81-250. Morgan Bleyhl (So., Elk River, Minn.) was unable to participate in the final round because of a dislocated shoulder that she battled through on Sunday.

“Players will have some down time now being able to use our golf facility over the offseason,” Moe said. “We will look forward to a great spring schedule, which will include out spring break trip to Florida in March.”

The complete spring schedule will be posted in the near future.
