“The men had a very strong showing again,” Head Coach Dale Bahr said. “We are in mid-season form right now and seeing where everybody is at within the conference. So we’re looking to continue to push these guys through this part of the season. We ran a lot of people in a bunch of different events to see where they fall.”

The Gusties claimed three victories on the day. The 4×200 meter relay took first in 1:32.79, Sam ReMine (Jr., Mantorville, Minn.) crossed the finish line first in the 400-meter with a time of 51.35, and Sam Fischer (Sr., Sauk Centre, Minn.) had the best toss in the weight throw with a distance of 16.22 meters.

“It’s really good to see the improvement from week to week,” Bahr said. “The next couple weeks we are going to fine tune everybody at Saint John’s and Macalester and hope we get some people qualified for the conference meet. We want to compete our best when it matters the most at the end of the season.”

Gustavus returns to the track next Saturday at Saint John’s.
