Katie Schenfeld Named MIAC Golfer of the Week

Gustavus sophomore Katie Schenfeld has been named MIAC Golfer of the Week by the league’s golf coaches. Schenfeld, who finished first individually at the St. Thomas Invitational last week with a career best 36-hole score of 74-76–150, helped the Gusties win the 13-team tournament with a team score of 308-314-622.

Gustavus sophomore Katie Schenfeld (Indianola, Iowa) has been named MIAC Golfer of the Week by the league’s golf coaches. Schenfeld finished first individually with a career best 36-hole total of 74-76–150 at the St. Thomas Invitational played at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minn. Schenfeld’s total is the fourth best 36-hole score in program history. As a team, #3 Gustavus placed first out of 13 teams, 17 strokes ahead of #2 UW-Stevens Point.
