The Gustavus women’s tennis team won the 11-team Midwest Invitational with a 5-3 win over DePauw University (Ind.) on Saturday afternoon in Madison, Wisconsin. The Gusties had advanced to the final with a 5-1 win over Washington University (Mo.) on Saturday morning. Due to time constraints on the tennis facility both matches were halted once one of the teams scored the decisive fifth point. Doubles were not played in the Washington Univ. match because Gustavus reached five points after the singles matches were played. Gustavus is now 19-2 on the season.
