Women’s Hockey Weekend Series vs. Bethel Cancelled

This weekend's MIAC women's hockey series featuring Gustavus and Bethel is cancelled due to COVID testing protocols. The games were originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday in Saint Peter and 2 p.m. Saturday in Blaine. 

Holtan Selected to CoSIDA Academic All-District Volleyball Team

Gustavus volleyball player Kate Holtan (Sr., Rochester) has been selected to the 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 Volleyball Team, which was announced Thursday. Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

Abegglen, Thelen Selected to CoSIDA Academic All-District Football Team

The 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-District Football Teams were released Thursday morning and Gustavus junior kicker Andrew Abegglen (Mound) and senior receiver Dalton Thelen (Cold Spring) were selected to the District 6 Team, which recognizes student-athletes from institutions in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

Men’s Basketball Downs UW-River Falls 82-63

RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The Gustavus men's basketball team found success in its first win of the season at UW-River Falls with an 82-63 victory in a complete game effort. With the victory, the Gusties improve to 1-2 overall.

Women’s Basketball Wins Home Opener 74-57 Over Luther

The Gustavus women's basketball team led wire-to-wire in Wednesday's 74-57 victory over Luther in the home opener. The Gusties improve to 1-1 overall while the Norse drop to 1-3. 

Becker Named MIAC Men’s Swim & Dive Athlete of the Week

Andrew Becker (Jr., Northfield) collected victories in the 50 free, 100 free, and 200 medley relay, and added a second-place finish in the 100 fly in a dual versus St. Olaf over the weekend.

Holtan Named All-American, Embacher Earns Honorable Mention

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its annual AVCA All-Americans awards on Tuesday and Gustavus is represented by Kate Holtan (Sr., Rochester) who was named third team All-American and Hailey Embacher (Sr., Mankato) was named honorable mention.

Abegglen Earns Fifth MIAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week

Andrew Abegglen (Jr., Mound) made a 31-yard field goal late in Gustavus's 39-7 victory at Concordia to tie the program record of 13 made field goals in a season. He is now tied with Ryan Boutwell - who went 13-of-18 in 1997 - for the school record.

Men’s Hoops Comeback Falls Short at No. 4 UW-Platteville

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The Gustavus men’s basketball team fell to 0-2 on the season after dropping a non-conference matchup against the UW-Platteville Pioneers with a final score of 77-62.
