The Gustavus women’s hockey team completed the series sweep Saturday at Lake Forest with a 3-0 victory. The Gusties improve to 2-0 overall.

Football Wins Final Home Game 29-14 Over St. Olaf

The Gustavus football team won its final home game of the season Saturday at Hollingsworth Field, defeating St. Olaf 29-14, improving to 7-2 overall, 5-2 in the MIAC, and 3-1 in the Northwoods Division. With the victory, the Gusties have secured a spot in the MIAC third-place matchup next Saturday at Concordia, who earned the Skyline Division’s No. 2 seed with a 41-7 victory over Hamline today.

Men’s Hockey Falls to No. 6 UW-Stevens Point

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus men's hockey team suffered a 2-1 loss against the number six ranked UW-Stevens Point Pointers. With the loss, the Gusties move to a 1-2 record.

Cross Country Wins Saint John’s Fall Finale

The Gustavus men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the Saint John’s Fall Finale on Friday and came away victorious in the mixed 8k race. Both the Gustie men and women won the five-team competition by placing six individuals in the top ten.

Women’s Hockey Wins Season Opener 4-1 at Lake Forest

The Gustavus women’s hockey team opened its season Friday night with a 4-1 non-conference win at Lake Forest. The Gusties erased a 1-0 deficit after the first period with a pair of goals in both the second and third frames.

Volleyball Sweeps St. Olaf in Three Sets, Advances to MIAC Title Match

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus volleyball team swept their way to a MIAC Championship on Friday night with scores of 25-19, 25-19, and 25-18 over St. Olaf. With their fifth straight sweep, the Gusties improve to 25-5. Gustavus advances to the MIAC playoff title match for the fourth time in six years and will host number two seed, Bethel.

Football Hosts St. Olaf in Final Home Game Saturday

The Gustavus football team hosts St. Olaf at 1 p.m. Saturday in the final home game of the season at Hollingsworth Field. The Gusties enter the contest 6-2 overall, 4-2 in the MIAC, and 2-1 in the Northwoods Division, while the Oles are 4-4 overall, 3-3 in the league, and 2-1 in the division.

After playing in just five games last season due to strict COVID testing protocols, the Gustavus women’s hockey team is eager to begin a full-slated 2021-22 season on Friday night at Lake Forest. The MIAC-defending champion Gusties are ranked No. 6 in Division III according to the latest USCHO poll.
