Stumbo Set to Compete at NCAA Cross Country Championships Posted on November 19th, 2021 by

SAINT PETER, Minn. – Gustavus senior cross country runner Andrew Stumbo (Boone, Iowa) is set to culminate his collegiate cross country career Saturday at the NCAA Division III Championships. The race is held at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky. and starts at 10 a.m. CST Saturday.

Stumbo is making his third consecutive appearance at the national meet after taking 98th in 2018 (25:35.2) and 144th in 2019 (25:45.8). Stumbo joins Bob Klindworth (1990, 91, 92) as the only Gustavus men’s cross country runners to compete at three national meets. Craig Miller holds the program’s best individual finish after taking seventh (25:15.1) in 1990. Miller and Rauha Rahkola (19th, 24:50.2, 1995) are the program’s two All-Americans.
