COON RAPIDS, Minn – The Gustavus women’s golf team remained in second place carding a 470, tying with Bethel in the second round of the MIAC Championship. St. Catherine leads the tournament with a 461.

“The team’s score was not reflective of the effort and determination that they showed on the course,” said Coach Randall Stuckey. “All of the gals had their tough moments and some great moments and we need to even things out throughout the entire round. We’re not that far off and we can do something special tomorrow if we come out confident, fearless, and have fun. Emily Kratz (Sr., Edina) had a fabulous front side shooting even par and Erin Ericson (Sr., Onalaska, Wis.) shot a very impressive two under on the backside.

Ericson leads the squad in fourth place overall carding 38-77-115, followed by Kratz who shot 38-78-116 to tie in fifth. Sydney Regalado (Sr., Rosemount) carded 40-79-119 tying in fourteenth, Laurel Ward (Jr., Bozeman, Mont.) is slotted in seventeenth scoring 41-79-120, and Annika Reierson (So., Delano) is in 27th carding 44-82-126.

The Gusties tee off in the final round of the championship tournament starting at 9:50 on Monday.
