COON RAPIDS, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s golf team is tied in second alongside St. Catherine after golfing nine holes, scoring 157 (+13) before being paused by rain. Bethel has taken an early lead carding 151 (+7).

“Very proud of the how the team came out today,” said Coach Randall Stuckey. “Even though it’s a big tournament I felt we came out relaxed and loose, just like they’ve been doing all fall. If we can just go out and have fun as we have been good things will happen for us.”

Emily Kratz (Sr., Edina) and Erin Ericson (Sr., Onalaska, Wis.) are tied in fourth after carding 38 each, followed by Sydney Regalado (Sr., Rosemount) in 16th shooting 40, Laurel Ward (Jr., Bozeman, Mont.) in 26th carding 41, and Annika Reierson (So., Delano) in 36th scoring 44.

Full rounds of 18 holes are expected to be played on Sunday starting at 11:00 a.m. and Monday at 8:30 a.m., with the tournament being shortened to 45 holes in total.
