BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The MIAC released its women’s tennis awards Tuesday and four Gusties were selected All-Conference. Sydney Douglas (Jr., North Mankato), Simona Potockova (Jr., Nova’ Dubnica, Slovakia), Anna Stutz (Jr., Dellwood), and Ginger Valentine (Delano) were named to the Singles Team, while Potockova and Valentine were named to the Doubles Team. Rachel Lindrud (Jr., North Oaks) is Honorable Mention Singles, while Stutz is also Honorable Mention Doubles. Valentine was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Douglas went 8-0 in conference singles matches this season for her first All-Conference honor.
Stutz went 7-2 in MIAC singles and finished 12-2 overall with her second career selection to the team.
Potockova also posted an 8-0 singles mark, earning her second All-MIAC nod playing entirely at the No. 2 spot. In doubles, Potockova went 6-3 in the conference with Valentine at No.1.
Valentine, playing exclusively at No. 1 singles, posted a 7-2 league record and a 6-3 record in doubles for her third career selection.
Lindrud went 7-1 in the in MIAC singles and 2-0 in MIAC doubles.
