HASTINGS, MINN. – The Gustavus women’s golf team was setback two spots after Saturday rounds of the MIAC Championship after shooting 318 (+30). The Gusties currently sit in the fourth place with a combined total of 311-318-629 (+53).

St. Kate’s currently leads the event with a total score of 611 (+35).

“Today was a bit tougher day for the gals  as we came out a bit tight and didn’t play the front nine as confident as we could have,” said Coach Randall Stuckey “We did not adjust well to the speed of the greens and how the ball would roll out on chip shots. These gals are good chasers and we will look forward to a better day and finish higher in the standings.”

Emily Kratz leads the team shooting a 76 and totals 154 after two rounds ranking fifth individually. Sydney Regalado shot an 82, tying in tenth with a combined total of 157. Laurel Ward ties in fifteenth after shooting a 78 (+6) followed by Erin Ericson with an 80 (+8) and Hannah Hubbart with an 82 (+10).

The team tees off in final rounds on Sunday morning.
