Women’s Basketball Falls Behind Early, Loses at Concordia

An eight point halftime deficit proved to be too much to overcome as the Gustavus women's basketball team suffered their second straight loss, falling to Concordia 75-65 Wednesday. The Gusties are now 11-3 overall and 7-2 in the MIAC, while the Cobbers improve to 6-8 overall and 4-5 in the conference.

Men’s Basketball Sweeps Concordia, Wins 78-58

After shooting a meager 35.3 percent from the floor in the first half Wednesday, the Gustavus men’s basketball team found its stride in the second by shooting 62.1 percent en route to a 78-58 win at Concordia to complete the series sweep. The Gusties improve to 6-9 overall and 6-4 in the MIAC, while the Cobbers drop to 2-12 overall and 0-9 in the league.

Gibbons, Schwartz Named D3soccer.com All-America

With the 2019 season in the rearview mirror, D3soccer.com announced its men's All-America teams as chosen by D3soccer.com staff, Division III soccer coaches and sports information directors on Wednesday and two Gusties received the honor. Cole Schwartz was named to the Second Team, while Matt Gibbons was named Third Team.

The Gustavus women's basketball team will look to get back on track Wednesday when they travel to Concordia for a 7:15 p.m. contest. The Gusties enter 11-2 overall and 7-1 in the MIAC while the Cobbers are 5-8 overall and 3-5 in the conference

Men’s Basketball Travels to Concordia Wednesday Night

The Gustavus men’s basketball team travels to Moorhead, Minn. on Wednesday looking to take down Concordia for the second time this season. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. The Gusties enter 5-9 overall and 5-4 in the MIAC, while the Cobbers are 2-10 overall and 0-8 in the conference.

Hallin’s 2OT Score Lifts Men’s Hockey to Extra Point in MIAC Standings

The Gustavus men's hockey team tied St. Olaf Saturday night, finishing 3-3 after the first OT period. Gustavus though will get an extra point in the MIAC standings as Axel Hallin (Sr., Hovas, Sweden) found the back of the net with less than a minute remaining in the second OT period which was 3-on-3. With the result the Gusties move to 6-6-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the MIAC while the Oles are now 2-12-1 overall and 1-6-1 in the MIAC.

Women’s Basketball Falls to Bethel 74-58

The No. 17 Gustavus women's basketball traveled to No. 23 Bethel on Saturday and suffered its first MIAC lost of the season 74-58. With the loss the Gusties fall to 11-2 overall and 7-1 in the MIAC, while the Royals improve to 13-0 overall and 8-0 in the conference.

The Gustavus men's basketball team battled back, but fell to Bethel Saturday afternoon 73-69. With the loss the Gusties fall to 5-9 overall and 5-4 in the MIAC, while the Royals move to 9-4 overall and 6-2 in the league.
