Caitlin Rorman Named MIAC Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week

Caitlin Rorman scored a career-high 25 points and posted the third double-double of her first-year campaign in Gustavus's 75-64 upset win over No. 15 Augsburg Sunday. After scoring 14 points points and seven rebounds in a loss to Concordia Sunday, Rorman  went 8-of-12 from the field and 9-for-9 from the free throw line and added 10 boards in Sunday's win over Augsburg. The Blue Earth native has scored double-digit points in 13 of the Gusties' first 15 games of the season and holds the highest field goal percentage of all first-year competitors in the MIAC.

Connor Clemons Named MIAC Men’s Hockey Athlete of the Week

Connor Clemons of Gustavus men's hockey earned MIAC Athlete of the Week honors following his four point weekend after the Gusties defeated Northland Friday 5-2 and tied No. 11 UW-Superior 3-3 Saturday. The sophomore forward scored all of his points in the third period, notching the game-winning goal and an assist in Friday's win over Northland, before tying Saturday's game at 2-2 and then dishing out his second assist of the weekend to re-tie the game at 3-3 after the Yellowjackets retook the lead. Clemons is currently sixth in the MIAC in both assists and points with nine and 14, respectively. 

Track and Field Competes at MSU-Invite

The Gustavus men's and women's track and field teams opened up their 2020 season on Sunday afternoon in Mankato at the MSU-Invite. The men finished the seven team meet in third place while the women finished fifth.

Women’s Hockey Completes Sweep of St. Olaf

No. 7 Gustavus women’s hockey completed the series sweep over St. Olaf on Sunday with a 5-0 victory. The Gusties improve to 11-2-1 overall and 7-0-1 in the MIAC, while the Oles drop to 0-13-2 overall and 0-8-0 in the league.

Big Third Quarter Leads Women’s Basketball To Win Over Augsburg

After scoring 26 points in the first two quarters combined, the No. 21 Gustavus women's basketball team put up 31 points in the third quarter en route to a 75-64 victory over No. 15 Augsburg. With the win, the Gusties improve to 12-3 overall and 8-2 in the MIAC, while the Auggies fall to 12-3 overall and 8-2 in the league.

Men’s Basketball Holds on for 92-88 Win Over Augsburg

Timely shots and clutch free throw shooting down the stretch resulted in a 92-88 win for the Gustavus men’s basketball team over Augsburg on Sunday afternoon. The Gusties improve to 7-9 overall and 7-4 in the MIAC, while the Auggies fall to 10-4 overall and 6-3 in the league.

Men’s Hockey Skates to 3-3 Tie with No. 11 UW-Superior

The Gustavus men's hockey team hosted No. 11 UW-Superior in its final non-conference game of the season Saturday and skated to a 3-3 tie. With the result the Gusties move to 7-6-2 while the Yellowjackets are now 12-2-2.

Men’s Swim & Dive Wins Point Invite, Women Take Second

The Gustavus men’s swim & dive team won the four-team Point Invite on Saturday, totaling 1,206 points, while the women finished second of five with 914 points. MSU-Mankato won the won the women’s side with 1,185 points.

Due to the current blizzard warning, the Gustavus women's hockey game scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Olaf is postponed. The game is rescheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday
