Larson Earns Second Straight MIAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week

Nolan Larson (Jr., West Des Moines, Iowa) won all three of his events and set a pool record in a dual victory over St. Olaf on Saturday. For his performance, Larson has been named MIAC Men's Swimmer of the Week for the second consecutive week. 

McCoy Named MIAC Women’s Hockey Athlete of the Week

Katie McCoy (Fy., Grafton, Wis.) shut out the No. 7-ranked team in the nation in her first collegiate start in goal as Gustavus defeated UW-Eau Claire 1-0 on Saturday. For her performance, McCoy has been named MIAC Women’s Hockey Athlete of the Week.

Men’s Soccer Paired with Colorado College to Open NCAA Tourney in Chicago

The NCAA announced the 64-team Division III Men’s Soccer Championship field Monday afternoon and Gustavus (17-3) will face Colorado College (14-6) at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in a four-team regional hosted by North Park (Chicago).

Men’s Hockey Tops UW-Stout 2-0

The Gustavus men's hockey team defeated UW-Stout 2-0 on Saturday night, leaving its weekend in Wisconsin with a 3-1 overall record.

Football Comes Up Short at St. Thomas, Loses 57-36

The Gustavus football team went point-for-point with St. Thomas in the early-going Saturday and made a strong comeback effort late in the game, but eventually lost by a score of 57-36. The Gusties move to 6-3 overall and 4-3 in the MIAC while the Tommies move to 7-2 overall and 5-2 in the MIAC.

Swim & Dive Teams Top St. Olaf in MIAC Dual

The Gustavus men’s and women’s swim & dive teams both defeated St. Olaf on Saturday at Vic Gustafson Pool. The men won 200-90 and the women edged the Oles 164-136.

Women’s Hockey Blanks No. 7 UW-Eau Claire 1-0

The Gustavus women’s hockey team shut out No. 7-ranked UW-Eau Claire 1-0 Saturday afternoon at Don Roberts Ice Rink. The Gusties improve to 3-0 overall while the Blugolds drop to 3-1.

Men’s Soccer Claims MIAC Playoff Title, Defeats St. Thomas 3-1

For the seventh time in program history, the Gustavus men’s soccer team is the MIAC playoff champion. The Gusties broke a 1-1 halftime tie with two second half goals to defeat St. Thomas 3-1 on Bethany Lutheran College’s new artificial turf pitch, securing an automatic qualifier to the NCAA tournament.

Men’s Hockey Puts Scare into No. 1 UW-Stevens Point

The Gustavus men's hockey team took on No. 1 UW-Stevens Point and played the Pointers down to the wire Friday night, as UW-Stevens Point scored the go ahead goal with less than a minute and a half to play, followed by an empty netter to take a 4-2 win.

Women’s Hockey Shuts Out Concordia Wisconsin 5-0

The Gustavus women's hockey team played host to Concordia-Wisconsin Friday for its first home game of the season and took down the Falcons 5-0. With the win the Gusties improve to 2-0 on the year, while the Falcons fall to 0-3.
