SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s golf team will take part in the MIAC Championships this weekend at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minn. The 54-hole tournament begins Saturday morning with one round played each day through Monday. The Gusties are set to tee off at 11:12 a.m. Saturday.

Sunday pairings will be ordered according to first day scores and teams will reorder their golfers according to Day 1 results, with the highest score playing in the No. 5 spot and the lowest at No. 1. Day 2 tee times begin at 8:57 a.m. Round 3 on Monday will follow a hybrid format with tee times starting at 8:57 a.m. on holes 1 and 10. Each school enters five players, with the four best performances each day determining the team score.

Erin Ericson (So., Onalaska, Wis.) had led the Gusties all season, claiming one medalist honor at the Division III Classic and another top-five finish at the Saint Benedict Invite. Ericson averages a team-low 78.0 strokes per round with a season-low 72.

Sydney Regalado (So., Rosemount) is next in the Gustie lineup with an 80.6-stroke average after eight rounds. Emily Kratz (So., Edina) averages 81.1 strokes and Laurel Ward (Bozeman, Mont.) rounds out the top-four with an 85.9 average.

Gustavus is seeking its first MIAC championship since 2010, which is also that last time the Gusties had a medalist at the conference meet as Katie Schenfeld won consecutive titles.
