MANKATO, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s track & field team won the Maverick Invite on Friday, hosted by Minnesota State University, Mankato. The Gusties scored 151 points.
“It was really nice to go against some tough competition in a low-key meet because there were not many teams,” Head Coach Dale Bahr said. “It takes some of the pressure off. We are excited with some of the good performances at this meet. That’s what we want to see the week before conference.”

“Taylor Rooney is tied for eighth in the country in the 60 hurdles and beat a rival from La Crosse,” Bahr said. “There were a lot of other PRs and it’s fun to see the guys performing well.”
The MIAC Championships begin Thursday and go through Saturday.
